` tiramisu `
Eeks. Can TV dramas stop making me cry? I watched only two dramas today, and both of them made my eyes swollen. >.< Now, just thinking back about them brought tears to my eyes too. What the hell happened to me? Argh...
Anyway, I have always love the dessert tiramisu. Now then i know that tiramisu means 'pick me up' in Italian. From what i read from the internet, stories are told that tiramisu was the favourite of the Venice's courtesans, who needed a 'pick me up' to fortify themselves between their amorous encounters. Hmm.. doesnt sound that good eh? But from the hong kong movie i watched just now, it is more meaningful. It said that it represents the love from the wife to the husband. When the family is poor, the wife will take the leftcover cakes, eggs, cocoa and coffee to make food for her husband to bring along with him to work. And the husband will pick the tiramisu up and eat it to feel the warmth given by the wife. And that's why that dessert is called 'tiramisu' which is 'pick me up'. Yeah, something like this. That's what i remembered. So sweet eh? Aww...
